Raise is hiring a Senior IT Project Manager for our client, one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This position is a nine (9)-month contract located in Calgary, Alberta. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.

Description

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the information technology department. Oversees all aspects of projects.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
  • Makes decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues and without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity to interpret policy.
  • Negotiates changes in scope, budget or calendar with Project Owner and/or management.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Provides guidance to other project managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or Business or Equivalent Experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience including technologies such as VSAT, Radio, Mobile communications etc.
  • OT (SCADA) experience an asset.
  • Technical experience: IS infrastructure including networking/telephony technology, Field network Infrastructure experience an asset
  • Change management expertise.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
