Job Overview

Project Leader

  • Assume responsibility for schedule, cost and resourcing to furnish committed project deliverables as per the business case summary.
  • Provide direction and drive for overall project, project team, and project schedule
  • Mentor and guide team members as required to increase individual autonomy, confidence and competence.
  • Meet and manage project stakeholders, priorities and conflicts
  • Report project status, including progress or delays/obstacles , technical, financial or schedule issues back to management.

Project / Design Engineer

  • Review and Accept Designs
  • Complete tasks associated with the DTL role as described in N-PROC-MP-0090
  • Support advancement of project schedule and deliverables while controlling project costs as per the business case
  • Produce documentation, reports, plans, procedures, etc. as required to advance project objectives
  • Work individually or as part of a team to advance project objectives
  • Seek support or assistance from Project Manager or other team members, as required
  • Support the design, build, test, commissioning and/or 1st usage of tooling as required
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design work
  • Oversee fabrication and development of design into prototype or production deliverable(s)
  • Participate in unit, system and integration testing necessary to commission deliverable(s)
  • Prepare or revise appropriate documentation, i.e. procedures, test plans, reports
  • Interface with project stakeholders, suppliers, customers, as well as other OPG functional areas, i.e. supply chain, controlled documents/records
  • conduct work safely in accordance with all OPG procedures and policies
  • Follow and support applicable governance, i.e: Project Management, Engineering Change Control
  • Support Project Schedule and Budget
  • Make recommendations to advance the project schedule
  • Support deployment of inspection systems in the plant
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting, providing technical support and/or advice as required.

Fuel Handling Project Support

  • Support advancement of project schedule and deliverables

Qualifications

Project Leader

Project Leader

  • Professional engineer or similar education
  • Motivated self starter and leader
  • Required experience:
  1. As a project manager with experience leading large, complex and multifaceted technical projects
  2. Leading teams and managing stakeholders
  3. As an articulate and effective communicator in English (both written and verbal)
  4. Meeting project financial and schedule commitments
  • Desirable experience:
  1. OPG specific project experience
  2. Familiarity with nuclear Engineering Change Control
  3. Experience working in nuclear power generation

Project / Design Engineer

  • Professional engineer or similar education
  • Motivated self starter
  • Required experience:   
  1. Qualified and an OPG Design Engineer
  2. Working as a project team member with experience in large, complex and multifaceted technical projects
  3. Working as an individual and in teams
  4. Working with stakeholders
  5. As an articulate and effective communicator in English (both written and verbal)
  6. Experience executing technical projects – either design support or project management support
  • Desirable experience:
  1. Software Classification Experience
  2. Pressure Boundary Knowledge and experience
  3. OPG specific project experience
  4. Familiarity with nuclear Engineering Change Control Process
  5. Experience working in nuclear power generation
  6. Experience working with Reactor Inspection Tools

Fuel Handling Project Support

  • Fuel Handling Project Support
  • Experience working as an OPG Fuel Handling Operator
  • Motivated self starter
  • Required experience:
  1. Previous work experience as a fuel handling operator – including knowledge about fueling activities related to IMS inspections.
  2. Working as an individual and in teams
  3. Working with stakeholders
  4. As an articulate and effective communicator in English (both written and verbal)
  5. Experience using or writing OPG procedures or workplans
  • Desirable experience:
  1. OPG specific project experience
  2. Familiarity with nuclear Engineering Change Control Process
  3. Experience working with Reactor Inspection Tools
